Efi Laskari

Tell about yourself a little bit… How did you become a photographer?

I was born and raised in Athens. In 1993, I completed my studies in Greek Literature at the Athens University of Athens. Since 2019, I have been studying at the Athens School of Fine Arts, in the field of Painting. My love for photography was cultivated in the school’s photography lab. I have participated in many group exhibitions and international photography festivals and, recently, I had the honour to be among the first six candidates whose work was presented on the Podium of the 8th international competition “Explore outside the box” of the Institut Francais du design. The theme was about “The Mediterranean of tomorrow” (La Mediterranne de demain) and took place from 4 July to 25 September 2022 Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles in France, the world famous photography festival.

What has been the biggest lesson you have learned as a photographer?

A street photographer should always be…
