Jan Schneller: Four Seasons – A cycle of nature

In this photography project, consisting of 20 images, I would like to share with you an excerpt of the four seasons with their diversity and beauty. Each season has its own character, color palette and stories, which I would like to capture through a combination of landscape and close-up shots.

Spring lets nature shine in a fresh coat of color. The first blossoms, warming rays of sunshine and starry nights are signs of this beautiful season.

Summer stands for liveliness, warmth and hopefully sunshine. The warm colors, seemingly endless sunrises and sunsets characterize this time of year. Travel and adventure are simply part of it.

Autumn embodies change and transience. The colors of nature change to a warm spectrum of red, orange and brown. Here I document the interplay of light and shadow as the golden autumn light floods the forests, the details of the mist that creeps through the mountains and the cloudy moods that represent the breathtaking beauty of autumn.

Winter represents peace and tranquillity. The landscape is transformed into a minimalist scene, characterized by clear lines and snow-covered surfaces. Macro shots of ice and delicate snow crystals reveal the invisible details of this cold season. But on some days, winter also shows itself from other sides and could almost be mistaken for spring – always good for a surprise.

Let me take you on a short journey through our four seasons – full of colors, light, perspectives and, above all, the inspiring beauty of nature.
