Jens Winkler: The Silent Beauty of the Sea

Jens Winkler was fascinated by the art of photography very early in his life. Before he turned 18, he already had his own camera and darkroom, allowing him to control the entire process of photography. For many years, he worked with a large-format film camera because it produced the highest quality and most detailed results. It was only when digital photography was able to match the quality of large-format film that he switched to new equipment. Jens uses a digital medium format camera now.
Black and white photography has always been a major focus for Jens, with a particular emphasis on landscape shots.
His minimalistic approach in these images strips away distractions, allowing the viewer to immerse themselves in the profound simplicity and elegance of the natural world.
