Hauntingly beautiful and heartbreakingly fragile, this series of photographs from Svalbard brings you into the Arctic’s icy embrace – a place where silence speaks, and the vastness of its majestic landscape makes you feel incredibly small. This remote, frozen land is home to the resilient – all of whom have adapted to survive in some of the harshest conditions on Earth. These animals embody strength and endurance, yet they’re also deeply vulnerable as they face the impact of climate change.

Both peaceful and melancholic, it is a place that feels timeless but in fact is changing faster than ever. When you’re fortunate enough to witness it firsthand you can’t help but come back with a deep sense of responsibility. While there is a quiet heartbreak here, knowing that this frozen world and its wild inhabitants face an uncertain future; there’s hope too. A call to recognise beauty, fragility and the responsibility we hold as individuals to protect it.
