Our existence is fugacious,
it’s a simple fragment of time…
is a constant reminder of the transient nature of life.
how to capture the essence of the fugacious or even invisible moments?
how to register the dematerialization that constantly appears around us?
will it be possible?…
maybe, i’ll pretend so…
and with my gaze and my camera…
i will try to fix the impermanence of our existence,
and capture the evanescence!
Evanescence is a quality of what is evanescent, something that tends to dissipate, change or transform. It’s something ephemeral and fugacious, just as our existence is fleeting and a mere fragment of time.
I aim to answer a personal concern about the transitory existence of life, about the essence of impermanent and almost invisible moments, which constantly appear around us in fragmented form.
This is done through my gaze, with my camera, in a city where shadows and contrasts prevail, which escape and hide from clarity and which we can only see through fugacious moments abstracted from reality. It’s an attempt to fix and capture evanescence!
