Docu Magazine: Special Edition Collaboration – Print Is Not Dead.

Saïd Ouled El Bey – Eternal echoes : capturing time between dreams and reality

From the moment we are born, we silently sign a contract with life : an agreement that states time can never go backward, that it can never be rewound. Life, with its relentless flow, moves forward unyieldingly, while photography offers us an ephemeral illusion of looking back. Each snapshot taken is a frozen moment, an imprint of the past, captured forever. Although the moment has already passed, we have the power to revisit it time and again through the image. Each photograph thus becomes a bridge between dream and reality, a means to indefinitely preserve those fragments of time we hold dear. Through these images, we explore the nuances of our existence, inviting reflection on the passage of time and the memories that arise from it.
