I’ve always had a fascination for the mundane in our every day lives: the way people dress, act, the way we ponder with an aimless gaze, or the curiosity with which we sometimes watch others go by. I wanted to capture the life of a city, the way people move, act, and behave. With this in mind, I borrowed a friend’s camera and started shooting in black and white, which appealed to me more than color since I could focus on the subject and the story I captured in the frame, rather than being distracted by a stream of colors. I try to tell the stories of a city that we usually miss in our busy lives.
