I always joke about photographing people from behind, so why not dedicate a collection to this theme?
Actually, this is not only the result of a behavioural inclination but also an aesthetic choice.
In my opinion there are three focal points in this kind of photography:
1- No face, no identity for the subject, so We became the subject and our is the POV, on stage. The result is a soul’s photography, our soul, in line with our feeling.
2- The (camera) Eye. Hidden and able to penetrate the intimacy of the people. No secrets are revealed, actually, but the sense of power on the spied souls is strong.
3- As a Wim Wenders Angel the photographer watch over and through the people life. Their soul’s mysteries are in its photos, the photo is the Place where they are kept.
