“Thailand 14” is a project born from my first visit to the Asian continent, an experience that profoundly shaped my vision as a photographer. Ten years later, in 2024, I delve into reviewing over 2000 photographs taken during nearly two months of staying in Thailand. This review process is not only a technical exercise but also an introspective journey to understand my “gaze” from back then and its evolution over time.
The result is a small yet representative collection of 20 photographs that capture the essence of Thailand. Each image has been carefully selected to tell a story, to show the connection and understanding I developed with the people I met and the places I visited.
Through “Thailand 14,” I invite viewers to discover Thailand through my lens, to explore its varied landscapes, and to meet the people who make up this fascinating country. This project not only celebrates the visual beauty of Thailand but also the depth of its cultures and the shared humanity I experienced in every corner.
