I originally learned photography through my background in fine art and print. At that time, it was mostly just a tool I used as part of my creative process. However, when I took a break from art to explore the world, my camera accompanied me everywhere.
During my travels, I developed a deeper appreciation for photography in a more classical sense. I could feel how it connected me more deeply with the places and people I encountered. Having instant access to a camera in a visual context offered me a means of expression, allowing me to create images on the go. I found this incredibly liberating, as it prevented overthinking and encouraged a sense of play. My art became free and flexible, always with me, which has transformed my creativity.
As a natural progression, I took a course in Street Photography and Photojournalism at The London School of Photography, further deepening my connection with the art form I now feel most connected to.
