Holly McInally – I owe her so much…

“I owe her so much” is a mixed media documentary project that captures poignant moments of self-discovery. As individuals we often go through heartaches, sadness, triumphs and achievements, that we wish we could tell our younger self how best to deal with or what to look out for. Through a series of thought-provoking images, the project explores the intersection of past and present. It invites viewers to witness the transformative power of self reflection and the wisdom gained through time. Each photograph serves as a visual testament to the universal desire to impart guidance, resilience and compassion to our younger selves. Creating a timeless narrative that transcends the boundaries of age and experience. It’s most of all allowing people a safe place to reflect on their past experiences and telling you that you aren’t alone, there’s always someone who is/gone through something similar to you. It’s about achieving things even when roadblocks are put in your way. What did the hard and challenging times teach us? How can we use the lessons learned at a young age to help us in future life?
