Kunal Bagchi – “She Through My Eyes: A Portrait Series Celebrating Love and Light”

In this very intimate and rather private photo story titled “She Through My Eyes” I do open the door for the viewers and invite them into a place where my partner is the main subject of the story. In these 20 photos I try to portray not only her as an object in front of my lens, but the very feeling that she is and represents to me – happiness, hope and love.

The series starts with images in which she is depicted to be the source of light in my life and sweet, warm, and comforting. It might show her smiling peacefully among flowers, signifying that she brings order into my chaos. Another could describe her as laughing joyfully in the present, breathing life into the simple things just as she does to everyone she meets.

Lastly, “She Through My Eyes” is more than just the compilation of photo; it is a love story through the lenses – love story of a man and his world without whom the world is incomplete. In essence, it aims at capturing the essence of a woman who has brought change to my life that I never dreamt was possible. Thus, I’d like to share these images that would make others as excited and as grateful to her as I am on a daily basis.

All in all, “She Through My Eyes” is an ode to love, and the light, a depiction of a woman who is my partner, my inspiration, my friend, and the one who makes me the happiest. I would like to express my hope that anyone out there, who has gone through a similar process of change that love brings, will see these pictures and allow themselves to consider their relationships worth remembering.
