Moisés Rodríguez Pineda: Uchronies’s Spirit

The streets are made of many worlds and, not infrequently, the only part of those worlds accessible to our understanding is through what we observe; the other part, the unobservable, is accessible to us only through our imagination.

«Uchronies’s Spirit» is nothing more than a tribute to people and their environment, to people and that small fragment they let us see of themselves as they wander through the streets. All for the mere fact of existing —because existing is path and purpose alike—.

Observing and photography are the quickest means I have at my disposal not only to understand but also to figure. They are the resource I know to endow a profession, a name, a hobby and a whole metaphysics of customs to those who interact with the sidewalks; without knowing that I, at the same time, through my means, interact with them in a copious attempt to recognize their uniqueness before they are diluted in the seas of a population as dense as that of my city… Mexico City.

I hope that in this offering to the chameleon-like streets and their no less chameleon-like participants, you find something beautiful to look at; that, in the end, looking is as natural to us as saying that we are human.
